Temporary cable end cap?

Hi all,

I've just noticed I've lost the end cap of one of my brake cables. Has anyone got a good temporary fix, please, until I get chance to go to a bike shop?

insulation tape ...super glue ..

I crimped an electrical terminal on the end of the front derailleur cable on one of my bikes. It lasted right until it was time to fit new cables where I fitted a proper cable end again. Cable ends can be purchased quite cheaply on eBay or other online bike store.

Thanks all. We do have a soldering iron somewhere, but I've gone for the Sellotape option (which didn't withstand all the rain this evening very well!). I've also ordered a load of cable ends to avoid this issue in the future.

+1 for electrical "bullet" connectors. My MTB currently sports 2 of these....
