So a few nights ago my rear derailleur cable snapped, leaving me in top gear on the rear, although I'm still able to go into a higher gear via the front gears.
It's actually making me work a lot harder, I'm achieving higher average speeds, sweating more, legs are feeling it more. I'm climbing hills a lot better as I'm trying to get momentum before the hill and then I stand on the pegs and just power up, hardly dropping cadence where usually about a 1/3 the way up I'd be putting it into the first few gears and crawling up.
