Since I bought the Brox, in Irlam, Manchester, and then rode it through Manchester City Centre.
Initial plan, to get it back to Huddersfield by train failed. So it was a simple case of ride it home, over the Pennines.

Seller thought I was nuts, when he checked I'd got home OK, when I said I'd ridden it home.

Tyres and inner tubes were changed as soon as I could(still have the ones that came with it). Two snapped chains, disc brake pads and a replacement tyre & inner tube(screwdriver shoved through) being the only replacement parts in that time.

It's ridden for fun and shifting loads. It got me my 10 seconds of fame, local history DVD, and it still keeps on rolling.

Was I just lucky?

Happy Anniversary!
Do you know how many miles you've done? Have you done any other long distances on it once you'd got it home?

Taken the day after getting it home. "Claim your lane" took on a whole new meaning riding into the city centre and whilst going through it. People were doing their best to stay out of my way.

I can't believe how much room people have been giving me since I got the Performer. A few cars were almost riding the right hand verge as they went past.

Is that a flashing amber on the back of yours?

Rotating amber beacon, fitted at the request of GMP! for going through the city center.
Battery is at the rear of the seat, just visible in the picture.
