I have Schwalbe Marathons on one bike and Schwalbe Durano Plus's on the other. I thought i'd try them out by riding on a cycle lane that's been hedgerow hacked. Both resisted the thorns.

Got me last night. I turned down Swan Lane which is blocked off for roadworks (but I can lift my bike over the obstacles) only to find the dreaded thorns !

Got home OK, rode to cubs and back OK but this morning the front tyre is flat as a pancake. Driving today anyway so no riding lost but my job list this evening just increased...

I don't understand how that is the case and would be reluctant to go tubeless due to my inability to perform a roadside repair. Must find out more..
