Is anyone else a member of the tesco DVD rental club?

I just joined because they were offering 3 months free rental.
I have spent ages going through endless dross and haven't seen a decent film to rent yet. The choice is overwhelming
Anyone got some suggestions ?
looking for something recent and preferably a thriller, action, drama ,murder mystery genres.

Don't I was a member and had loads of hassle which ended with a near seventy quid bill

that doesn't sound good.:becool:

Most of the movies I saw were kids stuff and horror rubbish .mixed with classics from 1967 ? its very very difficult on their site to find anything decent and current.
It sounds good in principle , better and cheaper than Sky with more choice but in practice you'd spend too much time wading through thousands of rubbish movies .
I think I'll de-register.
Thanks for the advice

Dunno Tesco. I use Lovefilm and what i tend to do is add titles to my list as they are released at the cinema or as I think of them. So initially my list was quite small but it's now grown nicely. I know that doesn't help you now though but it might help you decide to keep it on afte the trial.

I use Lovefilm too, and have had some major issues with them in the last three years, but they've swallowed up all the competition so I'm stuck.

They are also the company behind the Tesco rentals (and the Amazon ones, and countless other big names), so there's no escaping them !

As for titles, I love World cinema so I added lots of foreign films, plus lots of TV shows, plus recent cinema releases that I fancied. Over time, you build quite a big list. You could always look for a film you like, then see if there's anyone who includes it in a list of films to see (usually people's lists are in the left-hand column). Their other choices may appeal to you too based on the film you like in common.

Before I register for one of these, is there anything else I should know?

I don't want anything illegal, unethical or is gonna stuff up my puter.

Veoh is like you tube except you can download and watch using there player or windows media or burn to disc, movie plex shows you safe links to films (no spyware or nastys) If the film company sees that one of there films like Bolt or Doubt is on the net in HD when it shouldn't they complain and the company ie veoh or who ever remove the film ergo safe watching as the sites comply with the rules (big suit they had state side ended up with as long as they remove films when asked they are not breaking the law)

veoh player requires quick time, divx, java and flash codecs (easily done pluss there free)

when downloading from veoh or movieplex edit the film name and play using media or quick time.

I didn't know they were behind Tesco's but it doesn't surprise me. They took over Amazon who I was initially with.
