All I can say is, if Ford had made a retro Capri, that resembled the original Mk 1, I think they wouldn't have been able to build them fast enough, it's a plan that worked when BMW introduced their Mini, and Renault seem to have struck gold with the new R5, however I did see a T.V ad where it seems they've altered the lights and called it a Nissan Micra

Edit. Posted in the wrong thread. Should be number plate thread

Just got back from Iceland, private plates are much cheaper as there are far few vehicles. Population is just 404k, which is same as Middlesbrough!

yep agree. But maybe the market would be limited to the likes of us nostalgic people, or car enthusiasts? I wouldn't think many would opt for an original style Capri when a larger SUV is available? I could be wrong though. they say fashion goes round in a circle

There's more than enough bland SUV's out there, a proper Ford Capri would have sold like hot cakes, this thing would have been better of Called a Cortina

Coupes are dead. 25 years ago they were a rakish symbol of affluence, but now they're all but extinct and simply slapping a nostalgic name on one won't change that.
