I see sooooo many people on the phone, i don't have time to even upload all the videos of the people i see. Sometimes i will ask them to put it down, others i don't, it depends on traffic flow etc..

One of the craziest i have seen, not clear that they are on the phone but they definitely where - X672EAW - On the phone

And this is probably the worst reaction i have had from someone when talking to them about it. - FE08JNK - On the Phone

I drove to work this morning (the car needs a run to keep it running ok) and was overtaken by a woman doing 65-70 (I was doing 60) over double white lines (near a cross roads) and she was looking down at her phone at the time (texting?)

Here

Clueless bitch is going to kill someone driving like that, and will be full of excuses as to why 'it's not my fault'

What an air head ...............

The bit where she says "I can't think of anything that will stop me texting while I'm driving" Answer = a tree.
Mum say's "I'm so worried every time she goes out driving and texting, what am I to do?" Answer = take the zarking car off her.

Gaz - did you report the driver and if not why not?

That's likely to be a sackable offence and I'd like tools like that off the road..

Ha!!!! The second is abslotuely brilliant gaz ............ A candidate for You've Been Framed where you get £250. Not sure if PCA gives money for footage?

If the guy wasn't prosecuted for numerous motoring offences and did not lose his job why not? He was also extremely aggressive abusing and threatening you with violence. Plus he should be punished for wearing those awful shorts ....

This is a case that happened up here a few years ago:

I find it absolutely staggering that her sentence was reduced.

Although clearly this girl did not set out to cause harm, her actions cost a life and affected many others. But its clear that it was not a one off, she used her phone 9 times in 15 minutes!

I think mobile phone use, be it texting or calls while driving is actually on the increase. I see literally dozens of drivers everyday. Its about time the penalties were increased to at least 6 points and a minimum charge of driving without due care and attention.

I've posted this link before but it serves to illustrate in a very graphic way what the consequences of texting and driving could be. Be warned that video is a graphic and disturbing recreation of a multi vehicle RTA.

I think the penalties should be stiffer than that, they should be on par with drink driving IMO.

Another idiot .......... caught by AnimalTester1

I've got to go against the grain (again) here and say I don't know what he's doing on this video. He specifically stops to cycle alongside him, not even looking at the road ahead for long periods of time. If anything, he's being dangerous as well IMO.

What's he trying to achieve? Look, I completely understand why we don't want drivers concentrating more on their phones than the road, I really do. It scares the bejesus out of me because I've got a wife and kid to go home to each night. But we're not the police and I don't think you'll educate a moron who thinks it's OK to use their phone by staring them out and giving them random abuse.

I think the only thing we can do is report it, especially if they're representing a company such as in Gaz's vid.

I fully await a barrage of disagreement, but that's the way it is.
