thanks for the offers following a visit - shoreham

I dont know if the people who offered some help are reading this but hey - what the hell

Just wanted to say thanks for the 2 offers of assistance i had in the 10-15 mins whilst changing my tube on the Brighton road in Shoreham following one of those visits on the way home from work on Friday.

Luckily i carry a spare and had almost finished when they stopped and offered to help - but i got back on my bike with a nice warm glow which kept me warm for the remaining journey home.

I have only taken up cycling again in Feb after a 20 year hiatus and im seriously loving it - it really does feel as if you are part of something really big and its these sort of things that make you feel even better .........as well as helping to decide that i will carry 2 spares !!

are you a lady rider?

people usually ask if you want help when they can see that

a. you're nearly finished

b. you clearly know what you;re doing

people in London tend not to so much as look at you're having a mechanical

I had a visit from the PF yesterday, at least 10 cyclists passed me, not one offered or asked if I needed help.

As it was I didn't, but yeah, felt like I was with you Tynan in that there London.
