... (and no, that's not a Spoonerism!) who followed me past the racecourse and onto the Relief Road just before 9 today. Kept a decent distance in the single lane, didn't even come past on my left when I was in the right hand lane coming up to the roundabout, and gave a cheery greeting, wave and
when I turned to thank him.
The courtesy cost nothing, delayed no one (there was still a queue at the lights) and quite made my day... almost as much as 'scalping' the tosser in an A3 who thought he could block me by moving to the left before stopping at the lights about a mile later. He looked most upset when I thanked him for creating space as I went past on his offside.

Especially as I meant it when I said thanks, I imagined the confusion as he tried to work it how I was being sarcastic and then the horror that would come with the dawning realisation that he had helped a cyclist to make progress. 
Like i claimed from day 1 im a nice polite lorry driver who always has given way to cyclists even before i started back in to cycling. Thanks for your polite words much appreciated
