That's a nice painting, who's the artist?

I get the framed pictures from our house from charity shops- a couple of quid each.

We have one big canvas of a local hill and monument (Stoodley Pike)- actually that one cost a tenner, in the lounge

I have a painting of the old harbour at Malta in the bathroom, was £2 I think

One of a local waterfall- actually an original painting done by a someone a few decades ago, I think just an amateur trying things out but it looks nice and had ended up at Oxfam

And a small one of a pig and a rooster which I like but has not discernible point to it. It has written on it "an apple a day- delicious"

I looked it all up on Wikipedia and an art critic asked to appraise his work without knowing who painted it said, quite good but his representation of people speaks of a disdain for them (or similar). Spooky. I reckon he was tipped off first.

I doubt if it's an original so who is producing copies of Hitler's paintings?

Ever notice Hitlers paintings rarely have people in them? They're usually just incidental to some street scene or palace or building.

This one does, he seems to have based Jesus's face on himself.

Yes, but that's one of the few examples I could find. Better than I could do, but I'm not trying to make my living as an artist in Europe, where everybody seems to have talent. I agree with basing Jesus face on himself, much like Big Butter Jesus had a face like the evangelist who commissioned him, but with his wife's hair.
