Who is going to be the first one to gloat over retirement meaning it's difficult to see any difference between days, let alone whole weeks of festivities... Not me.

Shirts delivered to the office yesterday, laptop dropped off too, along with an ironing board and spare iron (no excuses for not cycling in now!) london today, Netherlands tomorrow, Munich next week, then Iceland for three days and finally Geneva at the end of the month....which is a jolly (assuming we get some snow in the alps). Full on!!

Work should be a bit quieter for me now. Christmas/New Year is a busy old time in the catering industry; it then tends to go a bit quiet in January. One good thing about working in a pub is that I didn't have far to go for my New Years eve drink.

The other KP went off sick just before Christmas. A young lass with 5 young kids going off sick in December; kinda makes you wonder just how genuine the sickness is. More shifts for me which meant a nice extra bit of money; it also meant working my knackers off. And now for a, hopefully, chilled out couple of weeks or so

Lots of schools go back tomorrow...

I am one of those parents trying to keep the peace due to the dreaded 'Teacher Training Day'. The wife has only been gone an hour and a half and already the house is destroyed. I cannot wait to get back to work tomorrow.
