How legal is the '3 second rule' for food dropped on the floor?
Personally, I reckon it's OK at home, but a definite no-no in cafés and pubs.

What say the CC Massive?

Thought it was the 5 second rule?

Depends on what's been dropped, and where. Carpets tend to rule out any recovery.

Home ok, eating out no.

Legal? What do you mean by that?

Studies have been done on this, with food being dropped on the floor then cultured to grow the bacteria, and generally the result is that you are at no greater risk from picking food off the floor and eating it than from non-dropped food.Personally, if I have to pick dog hairs and grit off it, I probably wouldn't bother, unless of course it was the last piece of rich fruit cake or Bara Brith, when all bets are off.

Oh, and most people know it as the 5 second rule.

There was something on the t.v. recently that proved you pick up as much muck in 3 seconds as longer spells.

No good having a five second rule when you have a two second dog.
Gor he's slow, Sabor would have got it before it touched the ground.
