Carlson is referring to the recent study showing that childhood cycling is in massive decline here (in the UK). It's odd - I don't know if things are different in the 'States, but the vehicles I see hogging the road over here are cars...

I'm assuming you've all read the Da Vinci code? Anyway thats just what I pictured Robert Langdon would look like until they cast Tom Hanks for the film! Random I know. I didn't realise the Americans also had this attitude though, given the success of Armstrong and the fact that they usually jump on and support any kind of homegrown success reading that somewhat suprised me!
