Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
Well, my most accumulated climbing in one day last year was 2,916m.
Seems like a fair target. 😉

I've done 2.6k a few times in the past back when I had cooperative legs. I don't think they'd stand for such abuse these days.

2 back to back Qualifying rides done in Provence . 5000ft + plus 6000ft + . Today's ride around the Verdon Gorge was absolutely stunning not even spoilt by the hail at the top of the last climb . Should be 3 more counting rides in the coming days if the legs hold out

Pictures needed!

Will do a review of the week when I'm back home

@FrothNinja and @Dogtrousers ... can you have a look at this thread because I'm puzzled.

I haven't been getting any alerts of recent posts - I couldn't understand why because I'm sure I've posted here.

Logged out and logged back in - still didn't make a difference.

And then I noticed that there's a huge gap - of over a year - in the posts at the top of this page (page 14). There are no posts between 28 March 2025 and 18 May this year.

What's happened? Has the thread become corrupt?

Let me know if you agree that something looks wrong - and if so, I'll contact the mods.

Answered my own question - we've actually got two Lunacy Climbing chatzone threads!

What a mess ..

The older challenge had a bunch of rules about not repeating climbs etc, the newer one was simplified. Considering the rules are posted at the start of the year, merging shouldn't confuse issues.

Yes, the OP in this thread describes a different challenge that had a significant route-planning component to it. Qualifying rides had to be loops: Starting and ending in the same place and not reusing any stretch of road twice (in the same direction ... crossing allowed ... )

I enjoyed that, and still sometimes apply those rules, but hardly anyone else entered as it was too complicated.

Then we got the second, simplified, variant of the challenge. Hence two chatzone threads. Which have now been merged to one.

Much less confusing, thank you @Pat "5mph"
