Why not 8x8??

They're only up the road, near RAF Finningley (aka Doncaster Robin Hood Airport), in fact, their grounds was the Bloodhound surface-air missile defence base for Finningley, in the Cold War days
They still have a BloodHound missile on a firing platform in the yard (it can be seen, if you look at the aerial photographs

If you don't like MAN trucks, how about TATRA?

Will it fit in your garage?

I had to take the bicycles out of my garage first. I have to be very careful not to bump my head on the ceiling as I climb into my tank.

It has good off-road handling, but the synchromesh in first is a tad awkward.
I used to drive one of them when I was in the army. Take the gun turret off and it goes like hell!!

If you're after a handy little runabout, the Ford F-350 Super Duty might be worth considering. 6.7 metres long with mere 6.8 litre engine. I'm not sure what George Monbiot would make of it, mind you.

But that one would not have fitted in my garage.

Unless I drove the other one out first.

Still wouldn't fit it's a tad larger and heavier with a 120mm gun firing APFSDS that will reduce your tank to scrap metal. AND it's British! Not a USAish hand-me-down.

I've had a few Discos. They had the potential to be great, but instead simply brought shortcomings from every model of car they cribbed parts from. Its like a Frankensteins Monster manufactured from as many diseased body parts as the good Doctor could lay his hands on
