Has the Armstrong affair screw up Wiggo's chances of SPOTY?

It should be so. I think maybe it will be Wiggo but the 5,000 m & 10,000 m gold double is historically speaking a greater achievement, really exceptionally special. What a nice person too. I wouldn't think Wiggo would begrudge him that award (he's just won the velo d'or himself). It's Mo's........................

It depends if people bother to vote or if like me will sit cursing at the Tv at the injustice of Andy Murray winning it![]()
I was being sarcasticInjustice if you ignore he's the only candidate who is globally famous for his sporting achievements - what with tennis being massively more popular and played worldwide than athletics or cycling.

No British person has ever won either the 5,000 m or 10,000 m Olympic gold medals since the races started being run in 1912, let alone both in the same year.Andy Murray has had not a bad year.
1st British man to win a major since the 1930s then one an Olympic Gold.
He's the only serious contender to Brad in my opinion. (If you take it on sporting achievement alone)

Even the Tipster in the Metro agrees, so it must be true...
