The Armstrong Lie opens this Friday but through the Sunday Times, I obtained two tickets to see a special preview of the film being shown tonight at selected venues. Nearest to us is Bradford so that's where we're going. I'm looking forward to it immensely, especially having read some differing reviews of it.

Went to see this last night. It's long at over two hours. The film scenes of bike racing and training are superb but it's a bit condescending in describing what a peloton is and what domestiques are for the Americans amongst us. Armstrong is shown both pre-lie and post-lie and doesn't seem too different in either guise. He's hardly a model of contriteness and is most certainly not begging forgiveness from us, merely stating the bald facts. Had he not been caught, this film would have had the cycling aficionados drooling with pleasure but then again, it would not have been made as it was his return that prompted the cameras to roll and the very fact he came back at all was what ensnared him in his own web.

I would strongly recommend it for the members of this forum and reckon you will love it. 6/10.
