I've been off CC for a long while - life got hectic in a bad way and now that I have a bit of sanity (kinda questionable most of the time ) and time on my hands...I've found that I've become a serial lurker...

This is a terrible business....

I'll read things (not everything like I did when I was a fully active poster) and then not post anything... What is this malaise? Apart from nosy parker syndrome...

Well, I've just chomped my way through my dinner and I've got to say, washing spinach thoroughly is the way to go, those grains of soil really even when you think it's all run clear just get right in there- irritating!

Well, that's the gem of wisdom for this evening..what is this lurking business all about- any ideas? I'm just rambling.

For those of you that remember me from before I did a dissapearing act, that sardonic weird humour will return at some point, it's just somewhere north of the M25.

Anyways, here's to not lurking! ahem

Hello, I think I was on extended sabbatical when you joined and returned when you were on yours and so we haven't been properly introduced. Although I think we may have crossed paths on another forum somewhere? My memory is hazy on such matters.

Please to (re-)make your acquaintance.

Sam

Ha Ha Simon, you see, I am in no fit state to be doing the 'award winning' FNRttC..you know what happened on the last one and I wouldn't want to raid Andy's jellybaby stash yet again.

You have my word, I will be on one again - just have to get the health back up to scratch to make it all the way to the coast without being a liability! Maybe the new year, I think longer distances and general riding with no sleep at this point is not the best plan....though got a nice bright light this time! Will be regularly going on Sunday rides though, that I need to do and it's well within the comfort zone at this stage, so see you on one of those again hopefully!

And again Congragulations!!!

Hi Sam

I'm not sure if I've come across you before but welcome back too! Always nice to have people return!

Is that a euphemism.

I'm in no position to comment on other people's hair colour, since I dyed mine a subtle shade of  skin-colour  when I was about 18.

Crock, not home grown but the mature spinach which has tons more taste! Pork curry sounds good.

Norm - no not a euphemism - had a horrible night ride- was ill for a week, decided against my better judgement to do it anyway- I didn't make it to Brighton - got the train at Haywards Heath and thankfully Andy's jellybaby stash and general looking out for me staved off the begininnings of a bonk by the side of a humongous hill where my legs stopped working. I knew it was bad when I thought my own shadow in the undergrowth was a ped about to jump out at me and at HPC I couldn't even manage to change my own puncture tyre...so not until I'm ready for the rigours of the usually fun FNRttC!

I dyed my hair for about a decade- all colours of the rainbow- was known for it but then just felt it was high maintenance and my hair was suffering with the continual bleaching - don't miss it to be honest - there was a time where I thought I'd have flamingo pink hair well into my 60's if I made it to that age but things change! I can't imagine skin coloured hair though- surely, it's easier to just shave it all off!

Blimey, it's a while since I've been accused of that.

I hope that you don't mind that I've printed your post and framed it. I also keep a copy in my panniers and ask you to sign it if our paths ever cross.

Being serious (but not for long) you posted some of your problems a while or two back, and then went kind quiet. I'm glad that you are sorted now and it is great seeing your avatar again. I used to work not far from you, although I only ever rode that way on a cheat-bike (one with 130 horse-power, not just 1 Norm-power).

One of these days, I'll do the ride into town. One day, Norm, one day...

That's it from me for the night, though. Catch you soon, tt. :becool:

good night norm - thanks for the anti lurking posts!

Yeah, not all sorted yet but at some point it has to I think...I really hope so.
Cheat bike...don't say it too loudly, we might have to collectively fell you with spokes made of titanium or steel for good old brutal weightiness!

Signing posts? we'll have none of that - well hope one day to meet you on a ride!
