I was sitting on the trike on saturday waiting for my ride companion, and an old chap came up to me - I recognised him from somewhere, but I'm not sure where. He said hello, and then, with no further preamble, "So they haven't quite got the steering geometry right on that then..."
"Er.... haven't they?"
"No, you can see it's scrubbing the side of the tyres.".
Right. Well, it rides ok to me, and any scuffs on the sides of the tyres (they don't look any more worn than my upright's tyres) I've assumed are down to very tight turns at speed, when the wheels do tend to cant over a bit. In normal running, it's absolutely fine, and I'm not entirely chuffed to have it criticised.
And then he banged on for some minutes about his upright tricycle racing days.
Annoyingly, at the same time, another chap was hovering, looking interested in the trike, and I think I'd much rather have been talking to him about it, than listening to this old guy who just wanted to talk at me.
