Taking the dog out this morning, on unadulterated snow, I noticed these large paw prints on the pavement.

I took no notice at first but as we walked further I saw that they were also over a few gardens - clear as anything. I didn't have my phone so couldn't take any pics. I'm guessing they were around 8 - 10 cm wide with a 2 - 3ft stride.

What freaked me out a bit was that there were no human footprints at all, it seems we were the first to venture out at 6 a.m. The dog started to track which also seemed a bit weird.

The road we were walking up is adjacent to a park and the paw prints came from here, straight across the road.

Needless to say, we gave the park a miss this morning!!! ;)

Reminds me of a few years ago when i lived in a little village and woke up early one morning to find a good few inches of snow had fallen overnight. No people or cars had been through so I put on my slippers-huge dragon feet-and walked up the road....

It looked brilliant but didnt cause the stir id hoped for. No doubt everyone just shook their heads and muttered about the strange girl from number 8 being up early again ;)
