The yellow pages adverts were great. Fly fishing by J R Hartley is a classic, but the French polishing one is also good. In fact they were all worth posting.They seem to have set the benchmark for almost all recent Christmas ads.

This add is 21 years old.
To my eye it looks as fresh today. It doesn’t seem to have aged or dated like the 70s or 80s add have.

I have it on DVD. The irony is that the tagline was something like “isn’t it good when everything just works” and yet it apparently it took over 400 takes to get the final, single shot.
