The best worst picture!

Here is mine, taken at the racing in blackpool yesterday - I clearly had some "slight" focusing issues! But, for some reason, although I messed it up, I actually really like the picture...have set it as the wallpaper on my computer as an experiment, and it sort of works on the "big screen" - you can just about make out what it is, without it being an obvious bike racing picture and my icons still stand out well on it. Quite enamoured with my screw up pic!

Anybody else got a "best worst picture"?

I saw a billboard poster advertising the Ashes yesterday that had an in-focus celebrating crowd with an out of focus, but recognisable, Andrew Flintoff appealing for a wicket. Very effective I thought

It's not mine, but there is a very good picture of Wayne Gardner "highsiding" a 500cc GP bike some years ago.

The story goes that the photographer (pro, I think) that took it had forgotten to take his long lens along and so had resigned himself to not getting many saleable shots that day as it would all be dots in the distance. Gardner highsided at a hairpin bend where he and the other racers were lent right over so all the photographers were of course zoomed right in using their big old lenses .. course, when the back tyre let go and it flicked the bike upright all they got was a bit of the bike but our friend with the shorter lens got this which has become a bit of an iconic image in motorcycle racing over the years.

Squinting a bit helps - a bit like with those pixelated pictures. I think your mind fills in the 'gaps' better with a bit less input to start with (very un-scientific cobblers probably).
