My bone china mugs get terribly stained by tannin, that not even the dishwasher will shift. The only way to clean them properly is with a rough scourer.
Is there a better way? Should I ditch them and buy new ones? Swallow my pride (and my Assam) and just drink out of stained crockery?
I await your valuable input with baited breath.

Fire the washing up staff, sell a child / wife / kidney as appropriate and buy a new set of crockery.

So popular advice would be to bleach the stain white. I'm not sure if I can be ársed to do that every time.
There seems to be a 'shelf-life' of bone china whereby it stains after every use after a period of usage.
Maybe their stain-free life would be extended if I never put them in the dishwasher?

I have a feeling that scouring damages the glaze, which in turn makes them stain more easily. I've never used a dishwasher in my life though. (Though I have watched people bending down loading and unloading their labour-saving devices and wondered.)

Why are you so concerned, your staff should be dealing with this issue giving you more time to ponder the meaning of life.

I'm sure @User14044 will let you borrow Fenton to chivvy up your domestics.

We use this.
We actually have it for sterilising demijohns and bottles, but it does a good job on scabby mugs and teapots.

I use Steradent tablets, to remove stains from mugs.
