Do any of you buy this mag and help those poor lads who are trying to restart their lives? I do.
Not anymore.
There is/was a problem with Europeans coming here and big syndicates controlling the sales by buying up lots of issues of the magazine, then selling on to their 'sales' people for a cut. The local guys got bought out in effect.

I do. Quite a few years ago I made a resolution never to walk past a seller without buying - unless I've already got a copy. It's one of the few resolutions I've stuck to.

The Big Issue now have a shop and I've just ordered a t-shirt from them.

No, I walked up past Sheffield Cathedral the other day, the guy did stop talking long enough on his mobile phone to ask if I wanted to buy. He had a Stabuck's, cigarettes & a mobile phone yet wanted my hard earned money. Okay he may have been given the coffee & the cigarette's & the phone may have been given to him by his mum & he only has incoming calls so she can keep an eye on him, but it all didn't seem right.

I went to buy one in Glasgow and while ago, and the guy selling it had a brand new iphone 3, spanking new Nike trainers, a very nice adidas tracksuit and was telling his mate about what a great night he had enjoyed in the Corinthian the night before. So I don't really buy it anymore. I used to buy it all the time, but after seeing it sold by someone that could clearly afford better clothes accessories and tech than I could I've not bothered. I only ever bought it to help out those that needed help, don't think I ever read one all the way through. I know they are not all the same but just never bothered since then.

I've not bought a copy in years, but I flicked through a friend's copy earlier this week and it's a pretty good read.

Might buy it next week.

I bought it regularly when it first started but there are so many of them now and, as has been said above, many appear to be better off than I am so I don't bother anymore

Some of the sellers near me look like they'd be happier being given a can of Calsberg Special Brew than selling a mag.

Didn't seem right for someone to sell a magazine if he has had a cup of coffee? Forgive me if the reasoning is going over my head...
