I went on the Feb ride and it was a lot of fun. Now that the LCC are pushing it big time, it puts me off a little bit as the LCC seems to be just another political lobbyist. For example I just received an email from them telling me how they have changed the minds of 3 of the mayoral candidates. Hard to explain but reminds me of "It was the Sun wot won it" and puts me off associating with them. [Probably just me and irrelevant to me anyway as I can't cycle so can't go on the ride]

Great ride, although a little wet. Got very cold at one point as we had to wait at the front for the group to bunch up again.

Titan yer tummy

No meatings b4 dinner!
I wuz there.

Agree with Gaz cold and wet. It was also good natured and considering the weather incredibly well attended. Officially 10,000 according to the LCC blogger.

Makes you wonder what the turnout might have been on a nice sunny day.

damn right it was wet.the PF was riding with our group too. 12 of us from Newham LCC. had a look for Gaz etc but couldn't see anybody with that sort of helmet. there were some great bikes. the lowrider homebuild was stunning. as was the one that was twice the height of a normal bike and what looked like 2 frames welded together.

marshalling was great and was a very good natured ride. I also learned some new routes along then canal from stratford .
