The Blue Light Debate( CW 14/01/2010 p31-Blue is the colour)

Hi to you all out there.Having read the letter in Cycling Weekly of 14th January 2010 from Peter Seymour of Dublin. I believe there may well be another reason why the Blue Light to The Rear of a cycle/cyclist might well bring a more positive reaction from otherwise Braindead and possibly seriously Myopic Motorists.Could it be that the Blue Light signals one of the new breed of PLOD on a Bike rather than just a Joe Bloggs on a Bike. Killing, or at minimum, maiming an officer of the law would create a far more serious situation than killing an everyday cyclist. Why not create a new SELF PRESERVATION SOCIETY :- The Let You Think I'm Plod; Cycle Union. When there is a COURT CASE against the use of the Blue Light then create a counter case through the Court of Human Rights,to have the right to protect ones person on THE PUBLIC HIGHWAY.Happy & Safe Riding to you All.
