Ah! Yes. Um...

I've got the materials, they've been knocking round my kitchen for months.

Will try and fettle during the week!

At risk of taking this too seriously...

Should we specify that it has to work in motion, as well as just parked up. Like, the bottle doesn't just bounce out...:B)

Oh.. erm.. I missed this bit. On to bottle cage MK2 then.

I haven't been able to produce anything, been too busy trying to sort our house out!

I suppose that would make me an impartial judge tho.

Anyone NOT in favour of making the deadline new years day?
photos posted in this thread with a short description of the concept?

It's quite important that the bottle is held in properly; it was a bouncing bottle that distracted Gti Junior last summer and caused him to lose concentration and nut a tree, knocking himself unconscious.

you've just reminded me what I forgot to order last night, a bottle cage for n+1, shall have to temporarily knick one off my tourer (again!).
no idea on how to make one, only got wooden coat hangers here, though I do believe that there may be a set of trousers due to be picked up from the dry cleaners but the colour would clash with n+1

The bottle can't twist and drop out of the bottom?

Ok, well I made it. I probably don't fulfil the requirements, as I won't have a chance to road test it now. I think the bottle would stay in well, but it's currently only attached by bolts through holes in the plastic, and I think eventually it would tear off them. Ideally I'd add reinforcing washers or something...

It should also be road tested with a full water bottle so that the momentum of the water mass doesn't destroy the cage under load...
