Anyone else watch it last night ?

Blur got the award for the longest rambling acceptance speech, which in turn left no room at all for Adele to give hers for the top award of the night - before the organisers cut her off to then put Blur back on to close the show with a song which was last in the charts 15 years ago.

Was the dude who controls the schedule go on a Tea break when Blur came on to accept their award ?:banghead:

Oh, and punters kept wandering in front of the Presenter as well when he was doing his thing :boxing:

I'm wondering who is going to be on the carpet this morning in the Brits HQ ^_^ - and worse than that, is Adele going to immortalise it on her next album

They should broadcast it live, and have Mick Fleetwood and Samantha Fox presenting it.

Never watch these type of "self slapping on there own backs haven't we done well and made loads on money and fame" shows.
What is it with blur, i heard yesterday they are headlining a concert on the opening night or the night before the Olympics , they were and most prob are still a second rate crap band from 15 years ago.
It was a massive Oasis/blur at the time and blur came out a very poor second.

I thought the Noel Gallagher/Chris Martin set was very good although almost too understated (I'd prefer them at the Olympics). The Rhianna carnival is getting on my tits these days. Adelle was ok. Blur were average, but in their defense, they seemed like the only band to bring the event to life!
All in all, a very 'flat' event that as already commented, is all about back slapping and creating a boost to record sales.
Oh.. Ed Sheeran.. I still don't get him.

I thought Adele looked quite bored when she was singing although to be fair I only saw clips on the news this morning. She looked like someone who had something else to do. "Oh I'd better wave my arm this way for a bit. Oh smile now I suppose."

To be fair to her, that son'g is by far the most difficult to sing in her repertiore (I've a friend who is a singer who has covered the RITD song HERE and she damaged her voice doing it). Given Adele had damaged her voice so badly, and had surgery, she is only going to be able to perform it with very strict discipline on her breathing, and that means no charging around (notice she puts her hand on her chest when she sings it to help monitor her breathing).

When a guitarist breaks a string they just stick another one on. A singer is without a career when they break their voice.

Am I alone in finding Adele akin to the scratching of a blackboard?
