So fed up with glass on the Bristol-Bath cycle path (espec after the weekend) I decided to adopt a different approach today...I left the house early for my 10mile commute to work and packed my trusty small house brush...and at all those dodgy spots...where the weekend kids/boozers have been I stopped and brushed. I did get odd funny look and one complimentary smile...but if I can stop getting p*******s then who cares:smile:

I've pondered fitting a broom to the front of my bike but a groinial misfortune when running with an engaged broom when young has put me off...

Well done, Runner! I have been toying with the same idea, silly me never thought about a wee house brush, will follow suit in my neck of the woods

If I could get hold of a trug of tarmac I'd love to fill enough of gaps in the huge cracks in the roads of the industrial estate I work on. I reckon I'd only need to fill about 10cm wide of each crack to get a smoother ride

Kudos on the sweeping!

They do send a sweeper up the B2B path (met one on the path beside the A38 at Filton the other day but in South Glos territory ) ... if there are problems the council should react and clear up the glass fairly promptly - they seem to have done when I've reported glass on either road or pavements elsewhere in Bristol.

The problem with this is I would be ringing the council most days...and it just seems easier to bring my own portable brush and do the job myself....beats having a p (you know the p I mean not the orther p:smile:) everytime.....
