Do you feel better for having got that off your chest Colin? You are right about buying an album based on a single though, I've got some absolute shockers, mainly on cassette from the 80's which I can fortunately no longer listen to. Worst album I ever bought? Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants by Oasis but MC Hammers' Please Hammer Don't Hurt Us runs it close

I also have a mind full of irrelevant song/record information. When i get a lift off a friend in his car he always puts an old compilation CD on asks me to name that tune. He thinks i'm some sort of genius for naming the song, the artist and the year, even sometimes the month, a few seconds into the song. :blush: My wife says i have a gift of being good at things that don't make money. :okay:

Six Blade Knife - Dire Straits

I too own a lot of albums (and CDs) that were bought for just one particular song but I still play them in their original format, it's a thing HiFi enthusiasts did back in the day. Songs like Relax, Love Of The Common People and Drive sounded amazing on a quality system (and still do)
