The changing face of forums?

Although I am new here I have been around forums for a while, and I can't help but notice that there is a change.

In days gone by, forums used to attract people who had given consideration to the reasons for them joining, and to having searched the internet/other media to inform them.

Now it just seems that threads are started without consideration of searching either the forum or the internet, or is just "limited character" nonsense (twitter is to blame I suppose)<

And is there not enough pointlessness on Facebook that to avoid it here? e.g. "Hope you have the strength to overcome your inability to stop being a twat"

"Hope you have the strength to overcome your inability to stop being a twat"

I could do a search for that.

A rather waspish observation but accurate in some instances and mostly accurate over in the forum frequented by folk with delusions of adequacy.

No name no pack drill.

Yeah I sort of got the drift but thought it might be to something a little more specific on CC.

Oh well. Still............................it's a good put down line to use on nobbers. (or to have it used on oneself when acting nobberishly)

Just my musings, no targets here.

Just looking at your avatar might suggest you are prone to being a tad waspish.

don't reads too much into that. I am a happy relaxed chap (actually you may have a point as some times I have replied in a very relaxed manner and others have seen it as aggressive)

That's the trouble with just bare text, very little context. Could be said with a smile or a snarl.:cursing::eek::boxing:

A thread is a part within a forum, a forum is something you may wish to join, you chose to join CC and read its threads.............so why ask this
