I've always been happy to be alone and have never felt comfortable anywhere were there are large crowds of people. I guess it shows in my choice of hobbies like hillwalking, fishing, cycling or out in the garage until 2am working on my latest project, I tend to do it alone most of the time. Team sports like football or rugby have just never appealed to me in the slightest. I certainly don't follow the herd. I always like to do the opposite to what everyone else is doing. My clothes are always unfashionable, my bikes and my car are ancient, usually in need of wash and scruffy yet I maintain them mechanically to a very high standard. I just don't try to impress anyone and generally don't give a shoot about what others think of me. For me, life is too short to worry about trying to impress others.

Thats the way I look at life. I ride my bike/bikes for my enjoyment and live my life for my enjoyment, not others. I do not go out of my way to rub people up the wrong way or any thing like that, I have a few eccentricities but the boys at work don't take any notice of them and my circle of friends are in their own way are similar thinkers to myself.
