The circus is actually in town in more ways than one. It seems the clowns have decided to take to the road. All of the ones I have come across really need to book themselves into an opticians so that they can get some comedy glasses.

Clown number 1) This clown is particularly myopic and could not see past their bonnet. I have priority on a cross road as she was where the white car is in that picture and I was about where the camera was. The video camera doesn't pick it up though. She basically tries SMIDSY me when I am right in front of her. All this happens right under the nose of a PCSO.

Clown number 2) This clown was driving a 7.5 ton cherry picker and works for Colas. I am riding along and needed to turn right. I am aware that he is behind me, but I am also aware that he was behind me. Before he could reach me I had stuck out my right arm for a considerable length of time and had moved over to the offside position ready to turn right. A lifesaver check revealed that this clown had started to overtaking me. Cue lots of braking and some obscene gestures directed at the driver. Unfortunately it is also the point the battery in my camera dies.

oh dear, though I feel I must object to the use of the term clowns. These are, I think you'll find are "drivers" or "motorists" whilst they might also have been clowns, there is no real way to be sure, maybe they'd just borrowed clown outfits for the day?

I saw a pavement cycling clown a couple of days ago who decided to wheely across a zebra crossing for some reason, shame he did not come a cropper.

And besides, clowns are highly skilled, whilst these drivers are not..

Where's the video?

I demand evidence.

Not a link to the Moscow State Circus.PAH.

Unfortunately there is no video evidence of either. The first one is out of shot because of the camera angle and the second one happened just as the battery died.

The first one all you would see is my head turning left and shouting oi and a PCSO nattering to somebody on the pavement. The second one is just me doing a load of shoulder checks and then a yellow cab of a lorry, on that clip it just looks like a normal overtake and to put it up wouldn't do it justice.
