Hi,

Will try it one day (preferably a dry one!), but does anybody know how do-able the climb up The Crow Road into the Campsies is?

I.e. Is it generally accepted as cycleable vs utter madness?

Depends on individual fitness I'm sure - I've been cycling on and off due to injury, so not that strong, but been commuting 10mi a day for the past four or so years.

Accidentally ended up cycling up to the Pont d'Espagne from Cauterets in France to save the old campervan's engine / gearbox not thinking it would be "as steep as all that"... :\ keen to not repeat such stupidity so thought I'd ask around.

Cheers

Its very doable I and thousands of other have done it plenty of times before. I think from memory the Fintry side is slightly longer but flatter, the first time I did it I went to change up only to find I was in the big ring already. The Lennoxtown side is slightly steeper but its no biggie either. Still not a biggie but for me the near by Tak Ma Doon Road from Kilsyth is better. I've never done the Pont d'Espagne but in all probability it would be as steep if not steeper and 10x longer.

Nice one, many thanks for the reply. This makes me happy!
