Er, Paul...

The envelope came pre-ripped and the buff looks like it ended up in the bowels of some Post Office machine. It has stains on it and the top is ripped. Bugger!

Have you got any buffs left?

If you have another CC buff going spare, I'll PayPal you for it and I'll try to claim compensation for the original. I suppose I could use it as an expensive rag for cleaning my bike chains since it is already covered in oil!

Scrub that - I've had a closer look at it and I reckon I can cut a couple of inches off the buff and it will be serviceable. It is longer than the one I already had so shortening it a little should be okay.

Er, Paul...

That doesn't look good. However, as a last resort if you aren't able to resolve the issue any other way and the damage is only in the end couple of inches of the buff, you could trim it and it would still be usable. Other buffs I have are two inches shorter than this one
