The Daily Mash (and it is Mash, not a twisting of the world Mail) is a spoof online newspaper, one of many out there. Every now and then they run a cycling 'story' along with plenty of car ones and they enjoy a pop at Jeremy Clarkson every now and again.

The linked story is most definitely fake, everything on that site is. The horoscopes and Agony Aunt page can be particularly entertaining when on form.

I like The Framley Examiner too as spoof on local newspapers, sadly that one stopped being updated a good while ago.
