In my new job I'll sometimes have to walk a lot, and sometimes jog a little to keep up with the trike, so I invested in a sports bra - it's not so much that I need the support, but I find the straps on ordinary ones tend to slip down over my shoulders under my tee shirt which is annoying. Also happens sometimes when I'm cycling. So I got a 'raceback' type, where the straps meet at the back and you have to pull it off over your head.

Being new, it's on the snug side, so I decided to try it out yesterday on my ride, and when I got home, after 85 miles, I was so tired I struggled to get the damn thing off!

What have you been too exhausted to manage?

Come on Arch, what's the new job? Nursery nurse to the spoiled children of a toff?

Must admit though that there have been occasions when I've been almost too knackered to get my cycling tights off the ends of my legs.

I'll bung up a thread about the job..

I wasn't too tired to cook up a spaghetti and pesto dinner though.... Mind you, boiling pasta and opening a jar of pesto and a tin of tuna is hardly onerous....

After the last FNRttC I had to sit down in the bath to shower because I was too tired to stand.

Ahhh!

I moved houses once - not far to travel but one heck of a lot of stuff in addition to all that would fit in a pantechnicon. After two days prep. and load, I was totally out for the count by the time that all was unloaded and I went to bed; which was two x singles hooked together. Only they weren't hooked together that night, and when I opened my eyes I was on the floor between the beds...having gently descended - or maybe crashed down - don't know. Didn't wake me though. Bobby my dog was content to look at me like I was a strange drink - but he had the matress to himself. ;)

Have you thought of asking for volunteers to assist? ;)
somebody had to say it....;)

Trying to remove a sweaty cycling top on a hot day is pretty damn taxing and I've had to ask for help before now.

After a very long day running up mountains on Mull, I was so tired I fell asleep in a ditch and was presumed missing for three hours. I'd just had the strength to pull a foil blanket over me and stick my feet in my rucksack so I didn't die of exposure. I also tried to straddle a fence which seemed too far to go round in my exhaustion and which was at crown jewels height and while the top strand "lifted and separated", an electric jolt surged through them!

I don't think it would have been a very pretty sight...

When I did my century, when I got back to the flat, I nearly contemplated sleeping in the lobby downstairs instead of trying to climb the two flights of stairs to the flat...

After a really punishing ride , I can remember getting home, resting the bike up against the shed and sitting down in a garden chair, totally knackered i couldn't make into the house and needed to recover in the garden. The wife noticing i was home came out and asked if everything was okay ?

I knew that if i looked up to answer her i would have burst into tears !!!

So in answer to your question i was too exhausted to look at my wife ;)

My mate though......my mate needs a sit down after ironing a shirt and I'm not even kidding! He's bone idle and "rewards" himself with a double vodka after the rare occasions he has to do the washing up. One time, a group of us were walking from one pub to another and someone went, "Where's Shaun?" No one knew but just before we reached the other pub, a taxi pulled up and out Shaun stepped. I bet it was slightly less than 500 yards!
