Shame, I was hoping to see myself on that vid. What time do you head through Clapham in the morning, Gaz?

Our paths must have crossed - I'm usually going through at 8.10 to 8.30. I ride a blue Charge Plug, with a Carradice SQR Tour and am kitted out in black with a silver Sam Browne.

Although when riding a Brompton I become extra competitive because I know that such a scalping hurts more than being overtaken by spandex clad loon.

The fine people of London are gaining awareness of the power of the Brommie. Alas, the 'racers' feel the need to justify their pointlessly light contraptions, and ridiculous S&M type garments.

I've overtaken countless cyclists whilst on the Brompton, although I think nothing about it - well initially I was surprised when I was first trialling the 3 speed - and I certainly do not slow down a few meters after overtaking. If I am going fast enough to overtake somebody else then the chances are that I am in a hurry, London is a city best enjoyed at a leisurley pace not at speed.

I know negative prejudices are at best stupid, but these fools on racing bikes really piss me off.
