Fantastic! In fact, I think I need to contact spokes. We could get this extended to the West coast via my contacts in First Bus and now in Arriva!

I'll have to get in contact with these chaps so that we can get something going over here.

Does anyone have any more information about the initiative and the posters that they have managed to get on the buses (I never managed that, at least for the public to see).

I can sense a plan coming together!

(Hotly followed by the usual anti-cycling mob in the comments, just like Magnatom's YouTube video comments !)
Indeed - "Behave yourselves, or we'll run you over!" seems to be the party line, doesn't it?

I did a bit of Googling for "@spokes.org.uk" and came up with:

spokes@spokes.org.uk

Give that a go and let us know how it goes.

You wouldn't expect them to use that e-mail adress would you!

Aye, I'll see what I can do... Maybe I should show them my poster...

My best pal's Dad was a great campaigner for Spokes (not sure if he still is), but to be perfectly frank he was a bit, er, 'eccentric'. Another of our school pals works for the local council, where apparently said Dad is only too well-known and no-one wants to speak to him on the phone any more !

I think they do a great job, but I'm always very wary of their 'surveys' that come up with some quite unbelievable figures for the number of cycle commuters in Edinburgh. If what they say is correct, then Lothian Road would consist of mainly bikes with the odd car, bus or taxi thrown in during rush hour. It most certainly doesn't !!

Aye, I've noticed that a certain type tend to be members of these groups (not many young folk for a start). However, maybe I can breath some life and normality into proceedings.......... maybe...

So uplifting the E.N comments, aren't they?

Got it this time Maggers!

They are - but as one poster said, the EEN should just save time and cut'n'paste the comments from this story on every subsequent story that mentions cycling. The same idiots spout forth the same opinionated, wholly incorrect bile every time ! Although sadly Alex Paterson has stopped posting the same comment about having a bell on every cycling story like he used to. I miss that

WTF is it with number plates though! It's not going to work, it will never work, never, yeh?

I dunno - if they made them like the Tour De France dossard(?) it might be quite cool - on the days I decide to get the train, I could tearfully abandon my commute, tearing the numbers off and hanging my head in shame...
