Anyone else watching it? I thought id post it as its more realistic sci fi than usual and Im hoping it will do well. Its based on the books by James SA Corey (which is actually two people) which are excellent if you like that sort of thing. Its not perfect but has potential.

I tried to find it on TV but so far its only available to view online, good news is its legal and free so far. They have deviated from the books in a fewe places so far especially in the crew dynamic but Im hoping that its something that gets fixed 'in story' .

I haven't tried a proxy (nor do I particularly want to) but the SyFy site requires you not only to appear to be in the US but also to sign in to a selected US distribution company from a set list before you can see full episodes. How are people here viewing it?

Yeah agreed and MIller isnt how I pictured him either but he had grown on me by episode 4.

Not sure why its working for some and not others, I used firefox

I had my doubts but episodes 1 & 2 were surprisingly good - looking forward to the next ones.

Think I figured out why it works for me at least, I use http://unlocator.com/ to access netflix US programs so its probably affecting syfy too.

OK, finished the first series. Awesome - the scenery is exactly how I imagined it in my head as I read the books. Miller certainly grew on me and the younger crew of the Roccinante started to feel about right.

However, I've read all the Expanse novels so it was a bit of a shock to discover it's not the Rokinante, but the Rossinante - doh!

Just popped Genesis onto my Kodi app on the laptop - the new X Files is there. I'll look at The Expanse too
