We too hope something will happen. The smaller the group the easier it might be to organise - or even self-organise. Fix a location and a date and I'm sure we can find a way to turn up and accommodate ourselves with an assortment of OS maps so only need a cafe table to plot something suitable for whoever else turns up. Two potential of us. Anybody extra is a bonus?

It's off, numbers were too low. But read on.
This was aimed at riders wanting a weekend jolly on the bike or a short introduction to touring, perhaps with a view to signing up for the September Tour. Three experienced tourers said they were interested, and no inexperienced riders at all. But that may be because we unexpectedly had the chance of a cheap easy ride to the outskirts of Paris in the empty coach going out to pick up the Reading CTC contingent and bring it home. There were 13 Fridays on that ride and it has sparked some thinking about coach-sharing in future.
However, I did work out a route and it's around somewhere, not sure where. It would be a fairly simple matter to get some friends together, stay in Ipswich and ride to Lowestoft along the route I worked out, then ride into Norwich and get the train back to London on the Sunday. I am now riding to arctic Norway a few days after the putative date so ought to spend a bit of time at home with the family before I disappear yet again for several weeks.
But why not just do it?

Its very chivalrous to consider Diana experienced but she has not done much more than 10 miles since the incident so I was hoping this might be an easy way back for her. Ipswich/Lowestoft at 50 miles is miles too optimistic methinks. Framlingham to Lowestoft might be do-able if the weather is fair.

Might be best to pencil it in as a 'flash-ride' if the weather forecast looks promising and we could join en route.
