Can't remember the first single I bought. Probably something really bad.

My first album was The Verve - Urban Hymns on cassette when I was 14. A few months later we got our first PC so I bought it again on CD.

ah my favourite question...

i started out quite well with my first single... Walking on the Moon by The Police :music:

however my 2nd single wasn't quite so good; Silver Dream Machine by David Essex, and after that it was all Shakin' Stevens and Matchbox  before i got into Maiden and Saxon

first LP... A String of Hits by The Shadows .... i bought it as much for the cover as for the music, and it's still one of my favourite all time album covers.

i think i was 9 or 10 when i bought both of these (with my own pocket money)
