The first single you bought....and the first album...

As mentioned in the 'Friday Night Is....' thread, the first single was Dave Edmunds 'Queen of Hearts'

First LP, was, I think probably 'Twangin' (again Dave Edmunds) - didn't really buy any early on
I also bought 'Out of The Blue' (ELO), but not sure if it was earlier than 'Twangin'???

These 3 classics are on there;

He produced the Cats 1st, & 3rd LPs (I've got the VHS cassette that this interview was lifted from)

A brilliant take on 'House'!!:okay::becool:

Duchess - Stranglers -single
Circus Maximus - Momus -album

Circus Maximus was actually the album Ian McGhee listened to and signed Momus to Creation Records.
It didn't end well sadly .
I recommend the opening song Lucky Like Saint Sebastian .

Single: no idea, I have about 50 record singles but can't recall which was first.
Album:

This one was a good choice, because I still listen to it now occasionally, 30 years after buying it. Although the original (which I still have) was on vinyl, and I eventually bought it on double CD.
