It's living up by the East Lancs Railway isn't it? I think the chaps there are involved in the boiler rebuild.

I watched it last night; it was nowhere near as crap as I thought it'd be!

For me to stay awake 'til 0110 it can't have been that bad...

The guy who plays Francesco Moser is a local actor who used to work in bike shops to support himself. He's a mad keen roadie who was over the moon to get the part (and would probably have done it for free!). Spent an entire day on a shoot of Poirot with him, both dressed up as policeman, yakking about all things bicycular between scenes!

Or buy it from Amazon for £1.50 like I did - I believe it's slightly factually incorrect but it's well worth a watch!!!!!
I enjoyed the book and the film, but as you say - there did seem to be a few differences.

I wonder if Graeme Obree might want to write a second edition of the book now that he has come out about his sexuality. The problems he had with it go a long way towards explaining why he felt so tortured and driven and of course it doesn't feature in the original book (or the film).
