England will never have a night of joy like Scotland's

Brace yourself USA, Mexico and Canada, a kilted World Cup conga is coming your way, powered by the souls of five million Scots. Nights like Tuesday in Glasgow are a reminder of the power of sport to enthral and unite, a nation coalesced around 90 minutes of pure, life-enhancing Scottishness.

Contrast that with the miserable mood hoovers south of the border, who marked another routine qualification to the greatest show on earth debating the conduct of Jude Bellingham and the lack of dynamic content.

Just on injury / added time. In the Wales match we had four goals scored in each half plus substitutions and people pretending to have been shot (sorry injured) and we had no added time in either half.

The first half ended dead on 45 minutes the second half on 89 minutes.

To be fair it was one of the few games I would have welcomed a few more minutes!

maybe they decide at 7-1 a couple of minutes weren't going to make a difference! North Macedonia were having a mare, so wouldn't be complaining.

I recall a hockey match one season where a huge hailstorm hit right at the end of the game. the umpires paused the game and we sheltered in the dug out, one approached me (as skipper) and said we've got 2 minutes to play once this eases off. My response was "we're 4-0 down, blow for full time and lets get to the bar!"

So as well as Curacao, we have Jordan and Uzbekistan making there World cup debuts in the summer.

4 more European teams to be determined per above and 2 from 6 in the intercontinental playoff, which may or may not throw up another debutante. i think its fair to say most UK eyes on Path A for Wales or N Ireland hopefully getting the better of the Italians & Bosnia.

North London derby today.
I've been feeling the jitters for a week already. The fact we're top of the league and currently very much i the title race (I'm not buying favourites chat, that's just pundits setting us up for a fall) makes it all the more nerve-wracking - as does the amount of injuries we've had. At the beginning of the season I said "right, at last we've got cover everywhere, and plenty of strikers". The Universe thought differently.

Oh 100%, but it's the NLD, form goes out the window (and Michael Oliver as ref wasn't exactly auspicious).
First NLD hatttrick since 1978 (Brady I think?), from a player they thought was theirs from Xmas, who rang up Arteta and got a deal done in 24 hrs

Alan Sunderland - but it was the 5-0 at The Lane where Brady scored that wonder goal "LOOK AT THAT! OH LOOK AT THAT!"
