Saw the goal on the highlights. Looked onside to me unfortunately. Looks like we won’t be playing Killie next year.
Strangely enough the last game I saw at Pittodrie was against Kilmarnock many years ago.

VAR debates are the most tedious things going.

It is what it is at the end of the day.

And we'll get to see Ayrshire's finest against the Dons next season, so folks can enjoy our ramblings about fitba!

I remember Arsenal fans moaning they had overpaid for Rice bet they're not saying that now.

I'll admit I was dubious at £105 mill, that is a huge amount of money, I can't get my head around transfer fees these days. But I think it was within about five games of him joining we were singing "We got him half price"
He comes across so well in interviews, so genuine, such a big heart. There were two three clips of him from our trophy celebrations that stood out (I won't post them here, not trying to torment Hammers) - one was before the festivities, when he's waiting for the final score from the Spurs game - he's genuinely upset when it comes in. The second was it being him that orchestrated Arteta getting the bumps, and the third was him smiling and looking quite emotional as the fans sang "Declan Rice - He said it's not done" at him.

Still trying to get my head round quite how massive the Arsenal title is. I'm not coming home for the CL final & parade, but if I was I should have booked a flight already. Ryanair have sold out Copenhagen to London on Thursday, Friday Saturday. Easyjet have a Friday flight at around £250 one-way. Norwegian Air have a Friday flight one-way at nearly £450 quid. This is not normal pricing. To fly next Friday instead would cost £25 on Ryanair, £50 on Norwegian and £100 on Easyjet. A quick browse says it's the same situation in Oslo and Stockholm.

If you were planning on doing anything in London other than watching the CL final on Saturday and attending the parade on Sunday I strongly advise picking a different weekend.

It also feels weird that there are people thinking about anything else at all. That what in Iran? Huge donations to politicians? Temparture records? Have you not seen Declan Rice as fans sing "He said it's not done" at him?

So, police estimating it will be 500k to 1 mill for the parade. There will be NO trophy lift at either end (Emirates stadium and Islington Town Hall) because they're terrified of the crowds causing a crush. They're encouraging people to line the route - the trophies will be on display the whole route (yes, plural - win or lose the CL, the women's team will be there and will have the FIFA Women's Champions Cup trophy with them)

I saw the clip when he got upset about the Tottenham result and I think it was a genuine reaction and not for the cameras.
It was a wrench when he left but it was no surprise.
He wanted to go on and win things and he has and I don't blame him at all for that.
I really hope Bowen stays but if he wanted to go I wouldn't blame him neither.Why stay at a club which is run like a circus with a clown (Sullivan)🤡 in charge.

Most sports now have some sort of replay.
Rugby Cricket Tennis.

Some of the other sports have in-built breaks in play anyhow, between points, or between balls in something like cricket.

Rugby less so, but still tends to have more breaks in play than football, so it is just that bit less intrusive.

I doubt that is the whole reason, but it is probably a part of it. The fans also usually see the replays on a large in-stadium screen for other sports, which makes it easier for them to understand the decision. And there is often less interpretation involved, more pure facts.

That's because football is a game that flows more than most other sports. The interruptions destroy the game and drive fans up the wall, you can't even celebrate a goal properly because half the time you have to wait anything up to five minutes for a decision - and one which is not always right.

If an offside, a foul or a handball isn't visible to the naked eye just carry on. The odd mistake is much better than the way the game is being ruined by constant VAR checks.

The one thing that football can take from cricket and rugby is the “umpires call” which gives weight to the refs original on field decision.
Unless the decision is clearly wrong the benefit of the doubt goes to the on pitch referee.
But most of all, everyone needs to stop moaning about the marginal calls. Suck it up and get on with the game.
The problem with football is that there are so few scoring opportunities in any game that a dodgy goal can swing a game. Most other sports have far more opportunities to get back in the game.

The other difference, is that in rugby, the onfield ref is fully involved in the VAR process from the start, along with his touch judges.
Football, the VAR team review stuff and eventually call upon the ref to go to a screen to review it - it's daft.
