Well done to Bury FC on winning the North West Counties Premier League title! After the club were dismissed from the Football League a few years ago, it seemed they were finished, but they have climbed back, with a crowd of 8,719 watching them secure promotion today. I'm not sure, but I think they'll be playing in the National League North next season, which is 2 steps away from a return to the Football League.

Big result for Forest, their nerves must be a tad frayed lately. Crikey it's tight, that keeps their ambitions alive, to have lost would have been a double blow really, position and confidence.
Spurs hammered away second half I gather....

We bored our way to the Premier League - Brownhill

Well they won't be boring their way to Premier League survival next season! If they try those tactics they'll come a cropper in the Premier League!!

What on earth makes you say that?

That is the sort of statement that makes it look like you don't know much about football, even though it is obvious from your posts on here you take a keen interest.

You reckon? Actually being able to defend is a pretty good thing. Parker knows what he's doing too which helps.

I really can't be bothered to attempt to explain what I meant. I hope they are relegation candidates by Christmas! Sadly, after relegation they'll just 'parachute payment' enabling, buy their way back the following season to repeat the up/down process once again!:tired:

I don't think they will, or at least I'd hope the owners learned a lesson from spending massively and it not working.

I think we all know what you meant. It was pretty clear from the words.

It isn't what you meant, but why you think that which is puzzling.

What have you got against them, to hope that?

It's quite a long story. I'll post about it later tonight.

The thingy above called Blackburn Rovers and it's fans twats after both clubs met a few years ago. I watched Rovers for 30 odd years and still follow them, albeit on the local radio and via online media, not in person. When at secondary school in the early 1970's all the 'wrong uns' supported Burnley, more because they'd just been promoted to the first division as it was then, rather than locality as Burnley's ground was 10 miles from here, compared to Blackburn's ground which is about 6 miles away. Me and the fellow sensible ones supported Blackburn, even though they were in the 3rd division, rather than mingle with the Burnley lot who were forever getting into trouble, both from the police and the school. I just don't like the club! You said that you live nearer to Cardiff than Swansea but support Swansea due to university reasons, or something like that If I remember rightly. I'm sure there's the same 'hostility' between both sets of fans. 🧐

Pretty sure he's only with Burnley until the end of the season so you won't have to tolerate him much longer.

This is just a general thing, but I never get the upset when a player has a pop back at fans. Calling them twats is pretty tame to the abuse players get from the stands.

One of our better wingers in recent years, Jordan Jones, got all kinds of sh!te from the Killie faithful after he signed a PCA with Rangers and put out a misguided tweet which most fans assumed meant he'd been yearning to play for them because he loves them. Nope, he's a Boro fan, and always has been.

Football fans can be very weird!

I have to agree with that.
Some Lpool fans turning on TAA because he is supposedly leaving for free!! One posted a photo of himself burning a replica shirt.
I have 2 thoughts on this.
1. It is the clubs fault for allowing his contract to run out.
2. If the club didn't want him they would get rid in a heartbeat.

There is. I think the local police will not be unhappy to see Cardiff relegated this season, so they won't be playing each other next.

And yes, I went to Swansea university and started supporting them then, just at the start of their rise from the old 4th division to the 1st in successive seasons under Toshack.

And even though I now live 15 miles from Cardiff and 30 from Swansea, I still dance with the Swansea Morris side, not Cardiff, and feel I have more connections to Swansea than to Cardiff.
