I'm so conflicted about this match. On the one hand lumping more financial misfortune on Man Utd is incredibly attractive, but on the other hand, Spurs winning a trophy? xx(

Until Guardiola pointed out that City had won the Charity Shield this season, in an overflow of schadenfreude led me to wanting Man Utd to win, just so that they were the only club in UKs third city to win a trophy in 2024-25.

Spurs beat us 4-0 at home so the least they can do is beat our neighbours too.

Of course, Spurs being Spurs, that's never going to happen, and in a resurgence of Cityitis, ManU ending their worst season for a couple of generations with a trophy and chumps league next season while City end up with nowt just seems destined now.

In real football news, Kevin de Bruyne's last home game tonight. Best player I've ever witnessed, bar none.

I might go to the pub 2 minutes walk from my home to watch the game tomorrow night. I haven't been in a pub since my birthday last November, so why not! It's a weird scenario that the winners will be in the Champions League next season while the losers won't even qualify for next season's Conference League qualifiers, due to both clubs poor by their standards league positions! When they say the winners will be in the Champions League, does that mean they go straight into the draw for the groups, or will they have to take part in the qualifying rounds?

I wouldn't say the injustice, more the unfairness maybe of the play-offs! York City have just been beaten 0-3 by Oldham Athletic in their 1 legged semi-final, (so no 2nd leg to have a chance of redeeming themselves) who finished 23 points behind them! Then we have Southend who finished 28 points behind 96 points York, still in with a chance of play-off promotion. 96 points is a hell of a good points total, but with 102 points Barnet rightly taking the only automatic promotion spot, in the end 96 points counted for sweet FA!

Well, after the bonus points are added, it's very likely Ste's lead over Dean is unassailable. Well played Dean, better luck next season. Who takes the second final spot? It's neck and neck after a fantastic comeback by Richards Paqueta Crisps to make it 42 - 42 after 90 minutes. Bonus points are added during the course of the evening. Which means a wait until morning to find out who will take the second final spot - best of luck Andy and Richard.
