What's wrong with it? It seemed pretty decent when I was there last year.

Might have had some improvements but it still one of the smallest.

I've read Arne Slot will "hold talks with Salah about facing Brighton." WTF it's not world peace, a trade deal or union strike action. He's a footballer. He gets picked, he plays. If he plays well he keeps his spot, play badly and he gets dropped.

Players with the attitude Salah has need a good talking to. If I was Slot I'd tell him quite simply I'm the coach, I pick the team based on current form. Either step up or be dropped.

Following Infantino's declaration that "football is nothing without the fans" (or words to that effect) last Friday, we see the prices of the tickets for the World Cup this week.

Cheapest seat at run of the mill group game circa £200.
Cheapest seat for the final £3200

All tickets need to be bought in advance so, if you believe your side will be in the final, you'd need to buy tickets for it and any knockout games you wanted to go to now which, in the event your team doesn't get there, can be refunded after sitting in FIFA's bank account . . . whereafter, FIFA have their own reselling site.

. . . never thought I'd look back misty eyed on the days of Sepp Blatter . . .

In financial terms, past performance is no guarantee of future performance.
In elite sport there is no space for sentiment, unless you are happy with the prospect of losing.

Except that your player is a fast deprecating multi-million pound asset that is currently being paid £400,000 per week, and you, as a manager who won the league last season with a team widely thought of as having been put together by your predecessor, are having an awful season this year, so have little standing or indeed job security to be playing Billy Big Böllöx with a player who last season was genuinely a shout for the best in the world at times. Some may even cynically suggest that you've engineered this situation yourself to deflect attention from the fact you spünked a gazillion quid on players this summer and they don't seem to fit or be fit yet. Having a talk seems like an extremely sensible thing to do at this point.

Salah should move to Man Utd, his "I'm bigger than the manager and the club" attitude would fit right in with their players over the last decade or so.

His form has been rubbish this year, so what he achieved last year is irrelevant. His outburst that of a spoilt brat.

Yes, I've been aware of the ball park figures for tickets for a few weeks. The finals are months away and the physical ticket prices are even turning me off from the thought of being a TV viewer. FIFA are taking the p!ss. Why should I take any notice of their now largely contrived, ridiculously enlarged, bloated competition. I will probably watch the Scotland games, perhaps England, I'm unsure, and that will be it.
