I think Posh have secured safety for this season. A pretty bland.performance ending
0-0. Mansfield looked the better side but even they didnt look great.
Began to notice a pattern. Many of Posh's players are not big fellas and you consistently see them either physically muscled off the ball or lose out when recieving a pass under pressure..that and poor passing.
I must have been watching them at their best earlier in the season, they were flying for a few games. Seems those games probably saved them from relegation..

Happy with Luke Williams?
In hindsight he probably would agree he should not have left Notts for a job at Bristol airport via Swansea.

Hoping Fleetwood turn up on Saturday and as a result Bromley rather than Franchise FC are champions of League Two. The other auto promotion place is between Cambridge, Salford and Notts.

Anyone not watching PSG vs Bayern is missing one of the great football games of all time, absolutely extraordinary.

The speed and the skills were breathtaking. The best game I've seen for ages.

It was an absolute belter of a match

Five-four is a hockey score, not a football score. In a three-against-three training match, if the score reaches 5-4 I send the players back to the dressing rooms as they are not defending properly. So to get a result like that in a game of 11 against 11 is disgraceful.

Not me - that was Mourinho when he was at Chelsea and Arsenal beat Spurs 5-4

Hopefully he'll be more appreciative of Arsenal's defence tonight....

I cant claim to be knowledgeable enough on tactics etc...I just enjoy a game for what o see in front of me so cant really have an opinion on him.
A few weeks ago they were flying but im not seeing the same players scoring now as were then, whether that's a positional change or team setup I dont know.
Dornelly and Lisbie, Archie Collins (never stops) and JJ Morgan I've watched play really well, then other games they've been pretty absent.

What's Chris Sutton on about on Radio 5 Live, saying Arsenal blew it and at 1-1 it'll be difficult for them in the second leg! Duh! it's 1-1 with home advantage, not 0-3 with the second leg in Madrid! He didn't moan about it just the once, he kept going on and on about it! 😏

Sutton? This Chris Sutton?

He hates Arsenal, and the feeling's mutual.

See, when Kanu did something similar V Sheffield Utd we won the game but offered them a replay (after some fuss the FA allowed us to do that). We won the replay.

He wouldn't let it drop. He did say that the Athletico goal/penalty was dubious, but then kept saying words to the affect that Arsenal had blown it. He's contradicting himself, sympathising with Arsenal, then criticising them for his idea of possibly giving the tie away!🤷‍♂️ He was the junior partner in Blackburn's 'SAS' partnership of Sutton and Shearer in their 1995 Premiership winning season, which I remember Shearer saying years later that it should've been Shearer and Sutton, not Sutton and Shearer as he was the main man, not Sutton. I never or maybe hardly hear them mention each other, apart from that incident when Shearer had a pop at Sutton. Sutton has mentioned Shearer on Five Live's 6.06 phone in, but as far as I know never in that 'SAS' context.🤔

See also Robbie Savage

I quite like Savage (yes he plays the buffoon, but he's actually knowledgeable about the game and is one of the more astute pundits IMO), but he needs to be reined in, which Sutton isn't capable of doing.

One of my favourite things he did on 606, years ago, was winding this guy up who was claiming he'd watched Savage park up on a double yellow, summon a child to his car and send him into a shop for a stack of shoes which the lad could barely carry. The guy was going properly off on one about it, and Savage strung him along beautifully before saying,

"That couldn't have been me, because my sponsor sends me all my shoes."

And ended the call.

Football punditry in general has become a bit ridiculous, with too many "characters" trying to say their piece for the biggest reaction. Ally McCoist is another example of this, especially when he's discussing Rangers.

I hated Pat Nevin for years because of the way he left Killie (I'd saved up for a top, got Nevin 7 on the back and came home to hear that he'd signed for Motherwell), but he's easily one of the best going who rarely (if ever) gets drawn into stupid comments. His book, In My Head, Son written with psychologist George Sik is well worth a read.

There's no defending someone like Troy Deeney though, if someone isn't a "monster" or a "powerhouse" he's not interested.

To be honest, if I want to find out what actually happened in a football game I go to one of the YouTube tactics channels. Modern punditry seems to be a mixture of banter, clickbait/ragebait, quick'n'easy narratives that are inconsistent with anything said before or after, and attributing everything to mental states (they wanted it more, they bottled it etc.)
